CHRISTOPHER MAHN NAMED 2023 NATIONAL VETERANS LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION FELLOW

The National Veterans Leadership Foundation Honors Top Military-Connected Students

Ithaca, NY (11/28/2022)

Today, the National Veterans Leadership Foundation announced Christopher Mahn, of Cornell University as one of a select number of military-connected students (veteran, active duty, reserve, National Guard, ROTC, spouses and dependents) recognized for both their service and their leadership potential.

The newly selected class of 16 students, representing colleges and universities from across the country, will take part in a six-month development program designed to help them grow as leaders, continue their lives of service and make a positive impact on the military-connected community on their campuses. In addition, each fellow will receive a scholarship stipend to help support their higher education studies.

“NVLF Fellows have a deep commitment to service and are dedicated to improving the higher education experience for the military-connected students on their campuses,” said James Miller, NVLF President and Founder. “It is an honor to welcome Christopher as a Leadership Fellow and to offer support and assistance as they continue to impact others at Cornell University.”

“Returning to school after serving your country—or balancing schoolwork with the responsibilities of still serving in uniform—is a challenge,” notes Major General Timothy Zadalis (USAF, Retired), Dean of the NVLF Fellowship Program. “Student leaders such as Christopher play a critical role in helping create an inclusive campus that supports the military-connected community.”

“Christopher has been absolutely phenomenal in his role as the NVLF Fellow this past year.  His selection to continue in this role for the upcoming year speaks to his leadership, his passion, and his dedication to helping his fellow student veterans as they navigate the waters of higher education.”
